The building blocks of the Plant Order System
Full control over orders, reduced labor dependency, greater operational clarity
Order-driven production requires a clear overview and control. The Plant Order System (POS) from WPS automates the entire order and processing workflow for potted plants, from transport and imaging to sorting, buffering, processing, and shipping. All components work together in one seamless, data-driven process.
Whether implemented in an existing facility or a new greenhouse project, the Plant Order System is always designed and integrated to match your greenhouse layout, workflows, and growth ambitions.

Order-driven and data-based operations
By combining intelligent software, advanced sorting technology, and modular installations, you process orders efficiently and predictably. This results in reduced labor requirements, fewer errors, and maximum flexibility during peak periods, seasonal shifts, and business growth.
Instead of moving to the plant, the plant moves to you, directed by data and orders. This is a key step toward Handsfree Plant Production.

One system, one structured process
Within the Plant Order System, plants are automatically:
• Directed to the correct processing and packing stations based on order demand
• Evaluated using camera systems
• Sorted and buffered based on classification
Each plant is individually tracked using an RFID tag in the Oval Plant Carrier or tray. This creates clarity, flexibility, and scalability in a process that would otherwise require significant manual labor.
Central control and full traceability
The Plant Order System combines software and installations into one integrated workflow. The Order Control Software functions as the central control system, managing orders, plant data, and logistics movements in real time.
Based on objective plant evaluation through grading and sorting systems, plants are automatically classified. This information is linked to a unique plant ID stored via RFID in the plant carrier, allowing full traceability throughout the entire process.
Flexible buffering and controlled plant transport
Buffer systems create flexibility by temporarily storing plants when needed, optionally with integrated irrigation. From the buffers, or directly after sorting, plants are automatically directed to processing stations for final handling and preparation.
Plants can be transported individually or in an Oval Plant Carrier. When using the carrier, each plant remains stable, individually tracked, and fully traceable. After processing, empty carriers are automatically cleaned in the OPD cleaner and returned to the start of the system for reuse.
